Another E Bay Rip Off

While the description of it being in good condition is wrong, it is irritating when people who have no intention of bidding just send messages saying your stuff is "broken and useless" (especially in all caps with words misspelled). The guy said, fine don't bid. What else do you want?
If someone is goofy enough to want a broken bezel, whatever. Ive listed a ton of worn out and replaced Corvette parts and someone always buys them. No reason for him not to list it.

Yeah. I think we should have the California Legislature look into this right away. Maybe generate a bill restricting people from lying on public forums. Then we could have a special agency whose job it will be to monitor all on-line forums looking for lies. If they found one, the forum would be fined to help out our cash flow problems (of help pay for the new agency). It would make California a safer and happier place for the children and would protect undocumented aliens from the evils of unfettered capitalism. Maybe we could throw in some sort of clean air or clean water funding too!...........NAH!

I agree he shouldn't have stated it was in good condition. The world is full of dishonest people. Thanks to this thread I now have a few more to add to my list of people not to buy anything from.

It does kind of tick me off when owners on ebay list their Vettes with numbers matching, L82 engines, when the car obviously has an L48 VIN. I always feel sorry for the poor schmuck that buys the car because it has nice L82 rocker covers. But I guess that is just me.

I appreciate the heads up threads. (just in case) whether it be a retail or individual seller.
I don’t understand others trying to defend scamming. I also notice not many of these “defenders” will give out their E-Bay ID’s . Hummmm!!
KEEP the Heads UP thing coming.

Oh Baby!
There is a secret society of people who feel it's their duty to peruse and critique listings at will and then contact the seller like they are eBay employees, telling them what they need to correct in the listing.
If someone finds a listing that offends them or their California right to stick their nose in other people's business, click "Report This Listing" which appears in every single auction.
nothing personal Californians, but you guys do have too much to say about other peoples lives and what they can and can't do.
