1969 radio delete, wiring harness???
Anyone know if a car with radio delete came with a radio wiring harness? I took off the center gauge consol today and low and behold the is a set if wires with clip, taped (labeled) marked on masking tape radio. Is this a tell tale sign that my car came with a radio from the factory?
I now think this plate is all

I don't think GM used masking tape to label wires I would say your car came with a radio. Have you checked to see if the speakers are still mounted to the dash pad?

no speakers mounted anywhere and the labels are not gm's they are hand written on masking tape and then affixed to the wires all the gauges and everthing is labeled

There was a recent thread about this and I believe the antenna was never installed....along with the supporting bracket, ignition shielding and anything else related to the radio....

All back panels were originally drilled for an antenna because the vast majority of Corvettes were optioned with U69, and it was cheaper to drill them all and patch the non-radio optioned cars. As mentioned, non-radio cars won't have ground straps, ignition shielding or speakers mounted. Also, look for the factory-mounted antenna cable. Usually, if Bubba added it, it'll be held in place by zip ties and not run neatly concealed like the factory would have done it.
