Finally, after a year, got the luggage rack cleaned up/restored and back on. So what do you think it looks like on vs no rack? Would just like a second opinion.

Absolutely beautiful Vette but I am not into the luggage rack. Removed it from 72 LT1. I love the big flat deck leading up to the spoiler without it.

I always remove the rack too. I don't like the way it looks and I have never used one nor seen anyone else practically use one. You put ANYTHING on those racks and you lose all visibility out of the rear view mirror and let's face it, the side mirrors don't exactly show you much of anything but your rear fender.

Personally I think your vette looks great either way. I will say that it looks a little less mean with the luggage rack. Before it looks like a bad a$$, after looks like a bad a$$ with braces.

I dont much care for the rack either, but the funniest thing I saw was a C-2 roadster with one on the back and on it the owner had one of those black plastic Pick Up truck (side to side ) tool box's bungied on to it. Talk about no rear vision. Peace,,,Moosie

I like luggage racks, especially with chrome rear bumpers. I think that without one there is a bit of an incomplete look. When I was looking for a c3 to buy, having a luggage rack was one of the (many) things the car had to have.

I like the rack look. I had one put on my car as it just didn't look finished without it. The rear deck looks really long without a rack.

I like luggage racks on cars with regular hoods. The LT hoods and luggage racks doesnt look right together IMO. Awesome car either way though. Nice job!!

I have a white 73 with the rack and love it, but your gorgeous 69 with the side pipes, ralley rims, chrome bumpers....looks great without the rack.

Takes too much from the eye with them on. Sorry, still nice, but like it better rackless
