This being said we have offered our customer and immediate refund for the door panels and shipping which was refused.
We then offered a $80 shop credit for additional parts of his choice at no cost.
We have tried to be understanding in resolving this matter as we have made a mistake and are trying to make things right.
We hope cooler heads prevail.

If These guys can scam you they will. They have no integrity.

Virginia Vettes offered to take the door panels back. They are already on the car drilled cut and everything is mounted. If you want to pay me for my time I'll take them off and send them back.

It almost seems like we should warn vendors that we're CF members. That way they'll be straight up or they will get this happening to them. I know most people would rather deal with the vendors rather than resorting to this but when you really feel taken and you've exhausted all avenues, it ends up here. One question , how does a $145 door panel turn into a $307 door panel. Thats more than a misprint or did I miss something. Are they the only ones selling door panels at that price?

Virginia Vettes - Your disclaimer doesn't hold water in today's Internet and e-commerce world. As founder and CTO of 2 e-commerce companies and also an agent for merchant accounts, you will not win any charge back claims. Additionally, you could be in serious jeopardy of losing your credit card merchant account.

With today's technology and tools, it is not difficult to update a web site - if yours is, contact me and I'll show you what a real e-commerce site should do. On second thought, never mind.

Until today I have all ways been confused why these type of vendor posts are responded to.....or even posted up.....So, I just went back and looked at some the "Profiles" of the posters....And now I know...I understand it....What one needs to do is, find the Vendors ...with a Personality Type and Decision Making Process that is similar to yours (like-minded). I have to say I am sorry...to a few of you fellow "Vetter's... gotta go, later

That makes two of us.
Maybe he thinks it is okay to scam one customer and let the next customer get scammed too.Rather then trying to give a Heads Up.!!

What?

All i know is I have thousands of $ to spend on my Vette. I read a post where a guy thought he received some damaged goods from Wilcox and a rep responded right away to fix the problem.

What I got from the VV response was, we messed up and will try to mitigate the issue some but you should have read our disclaimer. Enough said.

Simply stated we offered door panels for for $145/pr and where the error was the post said per pair where it should of said per each. There was no intentional deception and yes we accept the correction had to be made to the web site. The customer knows that the panels are not for sale by any vendor on this forum or anywhere else for $145/pair.
We offered a full refund and shipping .The customer declined.
We then offered an additional $80 in free parts to make the deal right. He declined again.
I am a crook for this ??? I tried but I give up

Love it, so now the customer is the crook? "The customer knows that the panels are not for sale by any vendor on this forum or anywhere else for $145/pair." You should give up, the hole is getting deeper. The fact that you don't even know what you should have done says it all.

Alright, this is turning into a bit of a witch hunt. Both the vendor and the buyer both said they offered/were offered a refund and that an additional $80 was offered in store credit. I don't think ANY business would intentionally post a wrong price with a disclaimer to try and "steal" your money. That said, it is STILL not fixed, which I'm a little shocked by.

$307 - $80 = $227, or a very good price for door panels. Let bygones be bygones.

Sorry, didn't mean anything like that. I am new to Corvettes and would not necessarily know what each part should be priced at (and don't know for most). So, the last statement made challenging the integrity of the customer made me a little angry.

This called Virginia Vettes rationalizing .
I have been through this with them .It is one thing to offer a refund ,it is something else for them to produce a refund. Not to mention the extremes a customer has to go to .to get to this point . It is a case of principles and ethics .Something they don’t understand.

Ya, I agree with you that that probably wasn't the smartest post. But I've heard the owner is generally a stand up guy (no personal experience though) and this guy has posted on every board to "STAY AWAY!!" because of what is honestly a simple mistake.

He should take the proper routes to get his money back because I also think he should get them at $145. Then again, if you were shopping around for door panels and you saw them almost 100% less than on any other site, something should make you say, "what the...?"

I'm not saying the customer is at fault, but don't try and ruin a guys business because his webmaster made a typo.

I would simply look into your states laws regarding false advertising as well as unauthorized charges to a credit card. I believe you should have at least been contacted and notified by them PRIOR to them taking the liberty of correcting THEIR mistake by just socking you with a hefty credit card charge. The disclosure on their website may or may not hold water with your states consumer protection laws. I would think differently about this whole thing had they contacted you in some way before charging an amount to your card that you did not agree to.
