Power window switch
Hi,
How does the window switch come out? I removed the side of the console, but can't seem to get a wrench on the fasteners.
Thank you,
Tom

On the top and bottom side of the switch there are two small screws. You should be able to just reach 'm, but more easy with seat removed.
You don't need to completely remove the screws; just give them a few turns and you should be able to take out the switch.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the replys. I removed the seat and removed both fasteners on the the side of the console top plate. I still can't grab those fasteners. Do you recall what size wrench that fits?
This shouldn't be this hard!!!!
Regards,
Tom

9/32 or maybe a 5/16 socket? You should be able to twist the screw with your fingers on the socket, as they are not that tight. You will also need to completely loosen maybe even remove the center console. It's a pretty tight fit under there!

Hi,
You were right, had to take the console top plate off completely to get to the fasteners. Can I service this switch or do I need a replacement?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I ordered two new switches, I figure I might as well replace both while I have the console apart.
Thanks again,
Tom

Where did you order them?
I had to replace my passengerside switch two times already in 1,5 years time. Aren't these standard chevy switches?
