1980 block stamping
Im having a hard time tryin to find the block stamps on my 80 can anyone tell me without a doubt where they are and how easy they are to read.

They should be on a small flat surface just ahead of the front edge of the passenger side valve cover. If they are there they should be faily easy to read. If they're missing it's possible the deck was resurfaced at some point and the numbers milled off.

...'78-'82 Corvettes with the A/C Compressor and A.I.R. pumps can be very hard to read. There is a pad from the block extending out below the passenger side head towards the radiator that will have your engine suffix along with the assembly date of the engine. The other smaller, longer number contains most of your car's VIN number.

Le Mans Master
Look directly down on the block pad in front of the passenger side cylinder head. You can see it if you look right behind the black steel AIR pump bracket. Use a small flashlight.
