Default seal the thermostat for 2 mile warm up
i've found that aftermarket manifolds have the 'stat hole cut too deep. it can take3-7 miles to warm up
this is bad:
1. causes rapid cyl wall and ring wear
2. cold feet
3. wastes gas
4. sludges up motor

i highly doubt that a 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch matters.

he should be happy. his fingers wont get burnt while he's adjusting the valves with the engine running.
