I have spent the last two nights scrolling through this thread. Very interesting to someone like me who doesn't know the race history of these cars!
One thing I havent seen is a pic from Watkins Glen. I grew up in WG about 2 miles from the track during the Grand Prix days, and would love to see a pic or two from there. Be a GREAT desktop pic for me.
Saw a couple pics here with blue gaurdrails, but couldn't tell if it was the Glen or not.

Racervette69,the Red 68 427 ex PHA hillclimb racer that i told you my friend owns is on the event poster for this years Hershey hillclimb May 3-4.The chairman this year is the cars original owner Dave Walter and he called me to ask to bring the 68 Racer,as the honor marquee this year is the CORVETTE and they will have a Corvette Corral.The host website for the event is at svvscc.org.
