1970 Back Window Glass Repacement.
I just ordered a new rear glass inclusive of the correct date codes etc. and trying to decide if I should attempt to do this myself (not knowing the process) or have it done by an auto glass specialist ? ---- Just not sure how the glass is retained within the removable metal frame?
Thank you.
Thank you.

I have not done it myself. But When I was researching adding the removable window for my 73, I ran across lots of info. Someone stated that the OEM frames have a pin holding them together as well as the screws. Trying to separate the frame pieces by prying them apart can damage the frame edges.
Unless a glass shop has exact experience with the Corvette frame, you may be just as successful doing it yourself if careful.
Kowing this forum thought someone will jump in and give you step by step instructions on how to do it without leaving a mark on the frame
