Default adding gill inserts on a 69, need some info

I'm planning on adding gill inserts on my 69 vert which originally didn't have this option. Everything looks simple enough except how to get the nuts behind the gills on the rearmost ones, is there a trick to this without removing the body? All the rest are easliy accessible except the back two. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Pat,

Mine came with Well nuts. The installation went easily, took about an hour to do the eight louvers.

Yup, the rubber well nuts insert from the outside of the louver slots. The also provide the proper spacing to allow the insert to sit flush in the opening. Spend the money on the proper hardware to install them and you'll be set.

Be careful drilling the holes for the wellnuts. I nicked my new paint.

Thanks everyone,

nice to know they install from the outside, becouse I couldn't figure anyway to get behind the last ones otherwise. I'm going to order the correct hardware tonight.

thanks
again
