I'd love to cruise down from Portland but my Vette is sitting in Illinois waiting for the dealer to get his act together and ship it the hell out here before summer is over.

I'm (tentatively) in!

If my GD carpet & PW motor arrive from Ecklers soon. Was supposed to be here last week.

"HEY ECKLERS...I'm still waiting!"

I need to take the Vette out to stretch its legs yet this summer. Road trip from Oregon anyone?? Any of you Medford, Eugeniuses & MacMinnville guys want to Rondi?

Well... I'm still around and so is yellowjacket.

Hey Vette80regon, where are you from in Oregon? I grew up between Grants Pass and Medford. Left for good in '96 for Seattle/Tacoma area.

Man, you need to get out of the house in suburbia and see for yourself! I have lived in this area all my life and like any other large urban environment, there are good areas and bad areas of any city. In Seattle, there are 1 million + houses surrounded by not - so - nice neighborhoods. It's part of living in a city. Take a trip over to Tacoma and see for yourself. You might like it.

Jack,

I won't be able to make it over to Hooters as I am going to PIR to check out the vintage races this Saturday. Will you be at Coulon Park this year for the 4th of July car show? I was the guy with the '68 Maroon coupe parked next to you last year. Hope you can make it.

rcread,

Is Renton on your list of undesirable cities to visit? If not, they have a car show in Coulon Park on the 4th of July.

Yeah, I remember your very nice '68! How you been?
I won't make the Coulon park one this year as the Ruston Way Lobster Shop is holding their show this year. That is only 4 miles from where I live. BTW, I liked Renton fine. I lived there for two years before I bought a new home in Tacoma.

Here are the trophies for the Hooters Cruise In.

I grew up in Seattle, so it's my birthright to make fun of Tacoma. I would expect no less in return from a Tacoma resident. Just part of the fun.

I was actually in Renton a couple of weeks ago, at my niece's first birthday party. I was quite impressed. Circular driveway, huge garage, the house had 16 foot ceilings, enormous yard surrounded by woods. Yes, I could see myself in Renton. Coulon Park on the 4th sounds like fun.

What can I say... Seattle is a beautiful city and still my first love as I went to UW 74-78. Huskies and Seahawks. But, we could afford a new home in Tacoma, not Seattle. Seattle is only 35 miles away though.

Go Dawgs! I graduated in 1988 from the UW. I'm sure you remember Joe Steele. He went to my high school (Blanchet).

Yep... I remember most of the players since 74. I was at UW when Warren Moon took them to the Rose Bowl in 78 and beat #2 ranked Michigan.

Remember the name JAKE LOCKER. I watch this kid in high school. He is better than Tui and Mark Burnell put together!

BTW, there is no July 4th in Coulon Park this year.
