Default Changing bulb in rear bubble lights?

Greetings all -

My '79 Vette has the bubble taillights instead of the stock lights, and I can't figure out how to get the bulb out of the socket. I pulled, but it doesn't seem to give. I twisted, and it won't move. What am I missing here?

I'd really rather not take it to my mechanic and get charged a 'moron' fee for replacing a $2 bulb, but I'd also rather not break the bulb off in the socket and need a new fixture.

Help! Thanks...

That did it. I knew it was something stupidly easy that I just couldn't remember. I appreciate the help!
