Hello,
Thats a sad sight, and sad to see it go.

But life brings on other important issues.

I have similar photos of a 1978 Silver Anniversary that I sold in 1983. I took the same type of shots with the new owner waving good bye to me, and the tail lights driving off into the distance.

Although I did use the money as a down payment on a house, which in the end is worth WAY MORE than my 78 Vette would ever be. So its all in the perspective. I hope your reasons turn out just as well.

Okay, whats next in the line of corvettes for you? I seriously think the next one will be a C5 of some kind at my house.
Probably a 2000-2004 convertible.

Sad to see her go Dave, that was one fine car. At least the method of the cars departure was better than that of Cali-77's
Appreciate Eric

Money was not the main reason for selling the Vette but we are on the same track. I'm using the money to fix up my house and pay off some high intrest rate loans then this fall will finance a used C5 Vette thru Navy Federal at a very low 5%.

Your car is (was) beautiful, sad to see it go I'm sure.

Looking for a 2000 - 2004 vert huh?

I did the same in 2002, sold my '82 to jump into the C5 market. I looked for about 8 months, drove every C5 I could get my hands on. Then, one night while surfing for local C5s I punched '82 into the search box - low and behold an identical '82 to the one I sold popped up only this one was a 9.5 out of 10 with only 22K miles. A few weeks later my search for a C5 ended with another C3 in my garage. I later picked up a C5 Z06 (see sig) but that's another story. Moral of my story? Don't go looking at any chrome bumpers while you're searching for your C5!

Oh, one more thing, if you can swing one of each (C3 and C5) you can post on cup holders and floor mats over on the C5 side and still post with pride over here!

A few years ago, I had to let go of a '69 L71 4-speed and a '92 LT1 6-speed vert. Both were gorgeous, and it hurt to see them go. Hang in there. Once a Vetter, always a Vetter. You'll be back.
