Location of '80 rear CORVETTE emblem?
When I put on seamless bumper covers and had my '80 painted, I didn't mount the rear CORVETTE emblem because I didn't want to wax around it (I know...lame excuse) and I thought everybody knows it's a CORVETTE. Now I want to mount it again, but I want to put it in the right place.
Where do the 2 holes go?
Does anybody have a template or measurements I can transfer to my bumper?

I can try to get some measurements for you tomarrow or saturday too, if you need them. By the way, how do you like the front monospring and steroids?

AIM may not show dimensions for the mounting holes if the holes were already in the bumper cover when received at St. Louis. It's also possible there are no holes if the emblem is a stick on.
This pic may be a mock up. Rear letters look too big.

I like it without the emblem. I also like the black back window molding. I am thinking about that color now too, beautiful.

I've often thought about going with the older style individual letters instead of the one piece emblem, just to be different. If I ever have to replace my bumper, I probably will.

The emblem has three prongs on the back of it. If you reach behind the bumper, you may be able to feel the three holes. Personally, I like the emblem.

Be different. Cut the emblem so it says "vette." Put that on.

We're glad we chose the stock color because it goes well with Oyster interior and we don't see many that color.

Thanks! I was nervous about the joints cracking, but that hasn't happened in the 5 years since put them on. They took a lot of time and effort, but I'm glad I did it.
The opinion seems to be leaning towards the "no emblem" side. I think I will leave them off and keeping the clean look for a while longer at least. And if someone doesn't know ath my license "80VETTE" means 1980 CORVETTE, then they aren't going to appreciate the car any more with the word CORVETTE about the plate.
Thanks everyone for your help and opinions!!
