My Wheel Vintiques "Rally Wheels" are 17 inch. They are aluminum and weigh less than the stock steel 15 inch wheels. They have a very stock like look if you're standing a few feet away from the car. (They have the rally wheel caps, but they use polished aluminum to simulate the polished ss trim rings.) Sometime ago Corvette Fever magazine did an article on tires that were available for C3's. They listed the availability of the new technology high speed tires for different wheel sizes. There were only a few selections for 16 inch wheels. The selection for 17 inch wheels was much larger, hence I bought 17 inch wheels.
