Default winter project, w/ pics

My goal this winter was to rebuild my diff & complete rear suspension, almost done!! Though time consuming, I ve had it apart now a little over a month, it's coming together nicely.

Rebuilt T/A's and bushings, SS shims, SS sleeve calipers, Edlebock IAS shocks.

tank cleaned & painted. 3/4" RR sway

3:55's......YAH, it's red. LOL

More to come, I hope to wrap it up this weekend??

Big thanks to Gary for some tips with the H/D cover clearance issue regarding the spring & C/member. Easy fix, as long as you are aware.

Looks really sweet. What did you use on the bottom side of the floorboards/storage compartments?

Looks almost like lizardskin although it could just be flat black paint.
Very nice man.

Is the diff powder coated? if not what type of paint is that, looks amazing.

That's actually just a even coat of "MAR-HYDE" rubberized undercoating. It was done by previous owner & I got real tierd of removing all the undercoating from the crossmembers & the spare tire tub that I just sanded it smooth to get rid of the blobs and re-did it. I like the MAR-HYDE brand as it goes on nice. (red can) I can only hope it will deaden more sound also?
The diff was done with a rattle can, it's actually high heat engine enamal. (3 sanded coats LOL)

Thanks Guy,
I think they call this "cabin fever".
It would appear I have tooo much time on my hands, but actually I have a Wife that works alot, that helps hahaha. My 3 sons keep me quite busy, but on weekends after they go to bed, that's when I hit the garage. It's like therapy man, I can stay out there for hours, some good tunes, pot of coffee, turn the heat up and NO INTERUPTIONS!! They get plenty of oppertunities helping out on the Vette but sometimes a Guy just wants to be alone with his Girl.

I couldn't agree more....on the alone time with the vette. However I don't have time nor a garage nor kids so its usually me in the driveway in 17degree cold from 10pm - 3am every night, work at 8am. Weekends the gf occupies all my time. Still love the alone time with the vette though.
Ur details look awsome, gonna have a hard time getting her dirty.
