Default Differences between 75 and 76

Anyone know the differences between these two years (75 and 76) ? I know the L-48 engines are rated different (165 hp vs 190 hp), but what else changed?

Thanks!

According to the Corvette Black Book, the '75 L-48 had 165 HP and the L-82 had 205 HP. The '76 L-48 had 180 HP and the L-82 had 210 HP. The slotted aluminum wheels became an option in '76. The 1976 hood is unique to the year. Vents on the rear deck (behind back window) were deleted in '76. A steel underbelly was used on'76s in the forward section of the car. '76s had the Vega steering wheel. Some earlier '76s had different sized lettering on the rear bumper than later '76s. To name a few...

Other than clicking My Recent Topics at the top of the screen, click User CP at the top left part of the screen. Click Edit Options and from there click Default Thread Subscription Mode where you can select to receive emails on new replies to a thread. You can also set up your profile.

?????????????
They had the same hood and outer body components, except for the grill on the back deck. 75 & 76 were virtually identical to the untrained eye.

Hey Mark,
I think what they mean by "unique" is that the hood looked identical to the '75 hood from the outside but was missing the flapper induction valve on the inside.

Not really a strong selling point.

I agree the exterior visual differences are very minor if you don't know what to look for:
-Rear deck astro vents deleted
-New one piece rear "Corvette" emblem
-That's about it.

No guarantee with the aluminum wheels 'cause they're the first thing a lot of owners change year to year.

Best,
Greg

Thanks for clearing that up Greg. I knew from the outside they were identical.
