Thanks again guys. The decision was to go with the blue. We'll use some dark gray metallic (evap housing, hinges, latches, etc.) and some black trim (rad support, wire harnesses) in the engine compartment. Body will be on in a few days. Just wrapping up a few loose ends.
The driveshaft Denny's whipped up for us is a work of art. The MMC Hi strength aluminum should get the job done. If not, we'll just hang it on the wall.
Cleaned and painted the front and rear bumper cushions and installed them. The rear shock absorbers were cut-off and the mounts welded to the tubular supports to bolt them to the rear of the chassis.
It was amazing how long they make the chassis look.

It's a HydroBoost Brake System. Instead of a Vacuum booster a HB system works off the Power Steering Pump. Allows for more room over the valve cover in this case. Used in application where there is low vacuum such as diesel trucks (and Mustangs!).

Babies Back!
We dropped the body back on today after Paul finished up the paint and other work. I've got to do a few things before we bolt the bumpers on and headlights in but the exterior is pretty much done.
You can see the lines in both front and back door edge. They were perfect just picking it up off the dolly that Paul did all the work on and dropping it on the chassis. No shims whatsoever. Just used a new bodymount cushion set and dropped it down.
While apart the t bar on top and corner pieces along with the Door Handles and Door locks were all powerdercoated semi-gloss black. A new tinted windshield went in and all window trim blacked out.
Now the fun begins. Putting it all back togethers and getting it running!

Thanks again guys. Obviously a little work to do to put it all back together but it's downhill from here (We hope!).
Next issue is wheels. I want 17" Torq Thrust II Classic up front and 18's in the back but want lots of meat to show. I do not want low profile tires. The narrowed rear is evident by how far in those wagon wheels sit. So I need to play around with offset to see where I can get the widest rear tires to fit evenly in the wells and bring it out to the fender edge.
The spokes will be painted black.

Thanks again/much guys.
I did not know it, but while we were putting the body on for the final fit Paul was taking some shots of my droopy drawers and bald spot.
It still amazes me that the body dropped right on with no shims at all and everything lined right up. That in itseld is a testament to the work Paul and crew at The Corvette Shop do.

The rear was narrowed 4 inches and the body tubbed so I can get some HUGE shoes under the stock fenders.
These obviously are just wheels/tires I use to roll it around. Haven't ordered the new ones yet.
