Sometimes Proteam just buys a great corvette and then turns around and sells it. Don't assume there is anything wrong with the car just because Proteam is selling it. If I bought it I would have to pay $18,600 in sales tax just to register it.... wait a sec... make that $21,700 I forgot they just raised the GDMF sales tax in NJ!

Yeah, proteam probably clones a lot of cars, but some are genuine. I bought my 71 from them. It's an unrestored, numbers matching standard 350 4 speed with the only "rare" option being a rear window defroster. Why would they clone a standard car and leave the original dead paint on it?

In 69 the base tranny was a 3 speed. there was about 300 corvettes sold in 69 with the base. All 4speeds and the auto were options.

What is that supposed to mean? I got a fair deal on the car, it's very solid. The 68-72 cars are hard to find around here.
