Default Finally- Burnout video of LOVE

Eureka!!
Guys, thanks for your patience. I know some of you thought it NEVER ran, but here is video proof. I FINALLY got help showing me how to download my videos into the computer. It's hard teaching an old dog new tricks.
One note: I know the first thing most of you will say is look at all the black smoke out of the tailpipes. I know! This video was taken the last day I drove LOVE IS BLUE. It had 2 broken pistons at the time (I later found out upon taking it apart reference the overheating problems.) I probably would NOT have done the burnout if I had know it was that bad. I just wanted some video to keep me going while it was down for insperation. Hope you enjoy. I'll now be going thru my files and capturing more for you later. Glenn

how far are you getting that thing back together?

What's that loud whistling sound? do you have a vacuum leak there??

Default Aw, Gosh Fella's. Shucks

Thanks for the kind words so far.
Ross, Hero? A bit over the top but thanks buddy.
Twin Turbo, Whine? I don't think so. When I took it apart seemed to be sealed tight. Have you ever driven along side a blower going down the road before? It does make a loud whine, depending on what cut the rotors are just how high. I would hate to think there is something ELSE going on besides the pistons. We are double checking everything as it goes back together.
It's about another week before I get it all buttoned up again, baring finding anything. Then it's all the fun of putting everything back on and in the Vette. G

I know what a blower sounds like, maybe it's the camera distorting the sound but it really sounds like a high pitch squeel from a vac. leak.

For a clunker with 2 broken slugs it sure came off the line nicely

nice but I personally do not like the sound of a blower. I love the performance, but the sound alone woud keep me from putting one on. all blowers I have heard sound like you have a bad alternator bearing. you can tell there are many hours of work in that car

Granted, the sound in the video ain't quite right, but...
If you can't tell the difference between a bad alternator bearing and the whine of a roots blower you just don't "get it"

I "get it" I just don't want it. just my personal preference. I have a complete procharger setup in my shop that I took off a customers truck because he could not stand the whine anymore. and it does sound a lot like a bad bearing

I know what you mean. It's hypnotic driving for hours on the interstate (as on the Power Tour) hour after hour, steady drone at one RPM. And at the end of each day it took an hour to get my hearing back...I LOVE it! Glenn

Glenn......that is the HULKSTER of streetcars.

I love a good "blue wine"... ....You just can't beat the sound of 35,000 rpm...

Of course thats because I have more time driving Turbines than V8s!

My hearing has deteriorated as a result! Huh ?

ps....a Turbine is a MOTOR....not a hat !

So you might just be able to show up for Sunday Corvette Funday? Would be really nice to see your car, even if you don't run it.
