Default BIG632 and filler caps...

Well I've given up on BIG632's return.... Anyone know of any other companies going a similar gas cap fill lid? I prefer that type that sit above the deck (as opposed to those that flush mount.)

I've been waiting since July 2005 for my cap that I paid for through BIG632. I E-Mail him every month or so and have been told that a refund will be shipped out shortly and the caps will be done by the end of the week.

Oh, Well. Guess I can write that off as a bad purchase!

Does anyone have the links that were sent in refence to the caps. I am still interested in purchasing one.

Thanks

Here's one I received in a PM... somehow it bugs me to bolt up a Cobra (Ford) part on my Vette but they do look well made.

http://www.cobraaccessories.com/cata...t.php?cPath=61

An earlier post on this thread had another....

The thing with BIG632's is that you knew they were going to fit without a lot of jerkin' around. I don't know demensions, etc. on the ones on these links.

Older than Dirt,
Is that cap mounted on your Vette? The reason I ask is because I was curious as to the brand and whether the trim ring was included or something that had to be customized?

I've seen some caps at AutoZone that are in the same style. Never looked too closely at them because they are probably junk.

I bought the Cobra cap and base. The trim ring was made by a machinist that I had done some work for. The trim ring is patterned after the stock trim ring. Not a difficult job but requires some test fitting and a little trimming here and there a few times. The deck is not perfectly flat so in order to be flush with the deck all around some areas required more trimming than others. The trim ring attaches the same way the stock trim does with four screws, no alterations were made to the fiberglass deck. It is made so I can go back to the stock gas lid if I wish. It only takes a few minutes to disassemble, if any of you want I can take it apart and post some pics tomorrow.

Big632 didn't just take the money & run...He had some issues with a pending divorce, causing him to lose access to all of the filler doors & his shop, and also has lost access to his computer.

Kind of a shame, as I liked his gas filler doors...

I'm certainly in no position to make any comments about his problems with his personal life but he should at least refund any money owed to any of his customers, he knows who they are.

It offered in the past to refund those which don't want to wait more. I refused the refund. What I want of Big632 is to receive what I pay for last December. I do not want vague promises and empty answers.

SPRZOUT,
BIG632 may be feeding you whatever he is feeding the rest of us. Some of come on the Forum to defend him, but MANY have been given the same E-Mail responses and customer service that I have received.
Below are just a few of his responses to E-Mails that I have sent him. I appears his computer does work fine due to whenever I send an E-Mail out, he responds within a day or two. But I am the one that must inquire with BIG632. He has never innitiated an E-Mail.

Get a refund. Draw up a design and take it to a shop that has a cnc machine or send it out to emachineshop.com

Then you can show people that lid and you can say you've actually done something cool for once in your life.
