Default 71_454_Green_Machine Pictures etc...

Well I downloaded them, so here's what I am up to. Sorta glad I bought this new car, as I don't think I would have gotten this far, or at least driven as hard as I have if I had taken the Vette. But sure wish I was driving a classic... Anyway - here's pics:

Bruiser my Dog. He's a Min-Pin with ATTITUDE!

The Corvette replacement Vehicle 'Dexter'. I named him that for his AWD Dexterity

Guess they dont care for dog poop.

A Rest Area in Idaho. I am in Montana now.

Todays Drive up the 'Going To The Sun Highway'. Don't know if construction is going to stop me from going thru yet.

Might go into Alberta Canada and up to Banff after this... I don't care where I am as long as I am NOT in that 113 degree heat in Phoenix. Thanks again all you guys for your support and help during all this. I think sometime this autumn, if I am physically up to it, I might get a 69-72 chrome bumper builder and have fun again... Untill now, at least I got something that hasn't broken down yet.

The purpose of the trip was to get out of the heat. I also have Leukemia, in remission, but barely. It's not gonna go away. So I originally bought a Vette cause I always wanted one, and was just gonna cruise this summer while I was above ground.

Then I had a slight problem with the car I originally bought, so I came along with Dexter. I really would rather have a classic Vette, and will again one day, but I am living week to week, and just having fun.

I don't care for it either. Anytime you have dogs crapping all over the place, it's like walking through a mine field.

...you came out much better with the '71 and your saga of them buying it back and all. You really got the "Corvette" experience of a lifetime. Take care & enjoy life...

...Don't be a stranger here either-once a C3 person always a C3 person...

Well I am getting between 17 mpg showing off and 24.5 freeway driving outta this "VW". Not bad, bout like a Vette.

Kicked arounf Yellowstone today, ended up in Red Lodge, Montana. Had a little construction that got the car real muddy. Oh well.

US Hwy 212 is way cool. Great road for a Vette later this summer. LOTS of Harleys here in Red Lodge. Two dealers in a town of 5,000 people. Beer drinking harley Corvette town for sure.

The road construction should be done later this summer if anyone wants to drive this... it's real awesome.

Next is Jackson Hole Wyoming. Be there all weekend. Any vette Owners around?

Seems to me you could have remained in a Vette - instead of going the "VW" route - you could have bought a C5!
Enjoy your trip - keep us posted - wish you were doing it in a vette. For long cruises like this - I have my C4 or C5!

You must have done your homework on a route. Did you make it up to Banff? I've been planning to get there since January and hopefully will by the end of the summer with the Vette. I'm surprised the Going to the Sun Road was open this early. You must have been among the first cars through. I hope you took Beartooth Pass through Cooke City to get up to Red Lodge from Yellowstone. Well good luck in your travels. Next time (and there will be a next time) you'll have to go in a CF member's restored and pampered car that you'll be buying soon.
