Well, I rolled 6 coats of Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow on the rear clip. Here's a few pictures before and after coats 1,2,4,& 5, I think. The next update will be in a week after I've let it harden and I've color sanded and rubbed it out. Then it's the doors and trim. Hope to have it back on the road by the end of June.
I admire your do it yourself spirit. I've found that just because everyone tells you you can't do somthing to your vette, doesn't mean you can't, or shouldn't. Thanks for posting.

My wife was reading this thread over my shoulder and says: "If he can make that Corvette look that good with a can of Rustoleum, why don't you get off your lazy a$$ and paint the house?"
There was a guy on the moparts forum that did this. All of his cars looked spectacular and had plenty of shine. Apparently it requires tons of sanding between coats. I don't exactly remember the process but it certainly is a cost effective way of giving your car decent paint.
