Sound deadener...
I have pulled the interior out if my new Vet and found some torn up pieces of sound deadener under the carpet. I was thinking about putting new stuff in but using the spray this time. Any opinions??

this is what i used to do mine. others use reflectix(home depot) and others use dynamat(more xpensive). i used 3M spray to glue it down and aluminum tape for the seams, then i sprayed 3M on the foil to attach the carpet(figure it'll be 10yrs or more before i need a new carpet). i didn't put the jute on top of the foil, some of us do and some don't. i have sidepipes so i don't get cabin heat.

I put a similar material in mine when I had the interior out. Make sure you get under the console bits and up under the back window. It really made a difference on interior heat and sound levels.

I used cool car ceramic (black paint with ceramic coated beads) in my interior. I have yet to reinstall my interior, but I hope to have time soon.
Has anyone tried the stuff from DEI? http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/1801/

That Brown Bread is a product of B-Quiet/ It appears to be for sound insulation only. They have a comparison chart which is nice - wish they all did this....
http://www.b-quiet.com/compare.html
This comparison by Dynamat Xtreme indicates better sound deadening at temps less than 86 degrees - but that's pretty much a winter day here in south Texas. http://www.dynamat.com/sound_dbate_X...comparison.htm
Although this opened my interest for sound deadening, my main goal is heat deflection.
