[Updated!] 71 Restoration Progress Photos
Hey Everyone, I've created a website to document my progress as I attempt a frame-off restoration on my 71 coupe. With luck I'll manage to make regular updates to the site.
Feel free to visit the site at www.corvette-restoration.com/
I'll send this thread TTT whenever I post an update.
Enjoy, and feel free to leave any suggestions or ideas you have!

I got it at the local equipment rental shop, but you can also get it at Napa or Carquest, although the prices they quoted were more expensive. I paid about $12 per 100lb bag.

I like it.
I keep meaning to do put a site together to document my project, but I’m never able to find the time.
A couple words of advice that I learned the hard way, don't touch any of the blasted area with your bare hands, it will start to rust again very quickly. Also have it coated or put the POR-15 on it as soon as you can. I waited about a week and a half after blasting and had to reblast areas all over the frame because rust started to appear again.

Thanks KO,
That site is partly inspired by your restoration thread, from the photos I've seen of your project I bet you could put one heck of a site together.
Thanks for the tip on not touching the blasted area. I expect it will take a week and a half or so to finish the blasting. I plan to build a blasting tent in my garage tonight, get it airtight, and stick a dehumidifier in there with the frame to suck out all the moisture. With a little luck that will help keep the rust down to a minimum. It looks so nice blasted clean I'd hate to see new rust creeping up.

Looks good, Tim.
You are lucky to have such a solid starting point.
Many of us take the body off to fix the rusted carnage.
I'd bet you are mostly done by next year.

Good job, I hope you keep up with your site more than I did with mine.

Well, it's been several weeks, but I've updated my website with some more progress photos. Both the Oct. 16th and Oct. 23rd updates are new.

What a great site.....I am impressed! I wish I had taken the body off when I restored my 74 but in a single car garage, it wasnt meant to be. Did you salvage your tank sticker?

Wow, Nice website! It makes mine look like it came out of a cracker jack box. Guess I have some work to do.
What kind of sandblaster did you get? Ive been looking around and looks like you can spend anywhere from 150 to 500 dollars! I'm hoping the 150 variety works..
Also, how did you get your wife or sig. other to let you put the body AND the chassis in the garage! Good work!!!!
