Bloomington GOLD (just returned)!!!
My 80 has been in the speed shop for the past 3 months and I've felt the Vette Fever beginning to fall off... Going to this show for the first time was all it took!!!!
Brother in law has the digital pictures and I'll try to get them posted soon. Have to say that ALL aspects of this show were well worth it. Attended GOLD SCHOOL on Thursday (planning your restoration and buying a 68 - 82). Both were outstanding! Purchasing a GOLDPASS allowed us to enter the show on Thursday. While there were only about 20% of the cars there...we were able to get with the vendors as they setup and get a jump on some good buys.
Friday was HOT for Chicago but well worth it!!! Met several members of the corvette forum there and attended the auction. Glad I didn't register to bid or I would be dealing with some spouse issues today...
Gold on the Green was the best... Corvettes as far as your eyes can see! Definite domination of C4 and C5s...but it made owning and looking at the C3s that much more special!
Have already booked our hotel for next year! We'll be back!

Bloomington Gold
Just got back from BG and had a great time. Left Thursday morning at about 8:00 A.M. and met up with 69'Silver(CF member). Drove about 60 miles and met up with ltinnel(CF member) and 3 other non forum members. Six cars took a relaxing drive to St. Charles IL.. Arrived about 3:30 P.M.. Spent all day Friday & Saturday at the show and had a nice drive home on Sunday. Put a little less tha 800 miles on the car over the four days. No one in our group encountered any car problems even with the heat.
A friend of mine sold a car at the auction (78 Pace Car) and then bought another car at the auction(66 coupe 327/350hp 4 speed w/air). I bought a lift and several shirts and some parts for the cars that I needed.
I have my hotel for next year already. It is pretty hard to not have a good time when you get several thousand corvettes and their owners together for a couple of days. I think attendance was down from last year, but if you go with the idea to have fun, you probably will.
See you next year!

I took several classes this year at Gold School, C-5 Maintenance, What 68-82 original cars look like, and Planning Your Restoration. As usual, all were very worthwhile. GOLD SCHOOL is one of the great things about B-G. The judging on Saturday and Sunday is very helpful if you are restoring a car (prime examples).
