Wow...and the L-89 brought over 80K...makes me think I should drop my original motor (L-89) and the tranny back...everything else is new and pristine...

Always interesting to watch BJ. I can only dream of having that kind of money. Maybe one of these days when I hit the lottery.

Looks like two different cars...the one on top has a BB hood and the inserts in the gills and the one on the bottom doesn't. The interiors aren't the same color either.

Thanks Adam for posting those photos....even more curious now about this car selling for that much $. Didn't see it sell so I am not sure which of the two cars it actually was.? Did anyone see it live on the auction? Still a 350/300 hp? Must be nice to have that kind of money sitting around.

If it was a 69 SB, neither in the picture was correct unless modified.

The top one's a dead ringer for my car. I'll let it go for the $41K small block price right this second if anyone wants to cut me a check. Big block for a small block price! Hell of a deal, dontcha think?

BJ is a bunch of BS! Anyone who thinks those are realistic prices are as stupid as the people paying them. We all have BJ to thank for the ridiculous prices we now have to pay for cars because guys like the Rick Flair look alike show up with 5 different color blazers and has to have a car to match each one and will pay whatever it takes to get it. Hmmmm let me see . . . lets put a bunch of guys with more money than brains together and feed them alcohol all day long and have them bid on cars. Thats the perfect recipe to make lots of cash and totally destroy the classic/muscle car market.

booze and testosterone, you forgot the testosterone. they palce is crawling with hot chicks that go oooh, and ahhhh and jump up and down when someone buys something expensive. if i had the money to burn i'd buy something crazy overpriced too. seems like a lot of fun, they just come back and sell it next year to someone else for a little more then they paid anyhow. not like they keep them or anything.

Im thanking my lucky stars I got the 72 for the price that I did considering BJ was interested in the car at the same time I was . These big auction houses and buyers just make it so much harder for YOUNG people to get into the hobby. I mean its all well and good to buy a corvette once youre retiring and have half a mill sitting in the bank, but when youre 19 and spending the good part of your life savings on a car, and the price keeps going up... . No wonder so many kids my age drive rice rockets... theyd all admit to wanting the big old muscle, but when prices are so inflated no one can afford it, which is a shame because the interest may start to die out without the infusion of younger talent and interest.

I should take my ZR-1 vert. there next year, if someone is stupid enough to give me $100k I am sure I'll even throw in the spare parts and paper floor mats. Thank god for B-J without it I'd feel totally poor.
