FS: 64 Conv Daytona / White & Blue Interior
Very neat 64 two top Daytona Blue convertible that underwent a frame-off restoration in 2006-2007 and was taken to NCRS Chapter meet in Ohio in 2008 and received a Top Flight Award. Still looking very nice today.
The engine and transmission are original to the car. Rear end also most likely. Mechanically sound drivetrain. The 300HP L75 starts easy and runs clean and strong. Runs at 180 degrees in Florida heat. Easy and sure shifts. The power brakes stop the car quickly. Tight front end and no play.
Original windshield and window glass. TRICO wiper blade holders. T3 headlights. Bumpers look to be GM and have been rechromed.
No rattles. No squeaks. Rides very nice considering the Firestone repro bias ply tires. Radial tires would be an improvement if the plan is to drive the car a lot. The KOs are reproductions.
The Daytona Blue with the White & Blue interior is a one-year only combination (1964). The colors are identified on the original trim tag. The interior is very original including the seats, door panels, dash and carpet. Seats were probably re-stuffed. All the white matches in terms of patina and shade of white which is hard to find in the combination interiors. The hardtop is also lined in white which is factory correct with this interior. White convertible top which looks like new.
The paint is very nice. Some small imperfections upon close inspection but very nice.
The underside looks like it was restored last year instead of 2006-7, which reflects a quality job that has stood the test of time.
If you want something a bit unusual then you have it here. It is also a gorgeous color combination that you probably won't see at any show you would take the car to.
Get in and go. Sit and stare at with your morning coffee. Better yet, do both.
$56000. Pictures are two posts below.
Thanks.
