This is my mom's car. I would love to hear any feedback from the gurus on here. A collector in Kentucky verified the 'factory air' aspect of this car. Apparently there are major tell tale signs of an after market AC? I posted this in another thread this morning and then removed it because I wanted to get her permission first. Hoping that she joins the forum and the conversation about her car!

I sure would like to hear the backstory and documentation for this prototype claim.

Why would you have the motor rebuilt with only 29,000 miles on it?
Obviously, the speedometer has probably gone around at least once.
After looking and recently buying, a few months back - - - price seems
to be on the "high" side.

I used to own a '63 AC car. It would be nice to see some photos of the engine bay & AC details. There were many subtle differences under the hood & under the dash between the '63 & all other AC C2's.

I dont think anyone is questioning whether '63s had factory air, there were 278 of them. The questions are if the VIN is too early for an air car, and the claims that the car is some sort of "air prototype" for later production air cars.
That sort of claim needs some more information or documentation beyond a statement that some collector looked at it once.
Frankly, a documented prototype car needs to be in a museum somewhere.

Looks like the Texas owner has started her own thread for this, so this thread will now be closed.
