Maybe I'm just not seeing it; but, where is the car located? Do you have receipts for the work performed and have you kept the old parts?

Any documentation (provenance) showing the "matching numbers" status. Pics of the vin plate, engine stamp pad, etc?

Any chance of additional pics of the interior, dash and undercarriage? Any damage history? Does everything work correctly?

Sure like the car!!

I second this question. Is this gap something that can be repaired?

Although there is "no damage on the car" currently, has the car ever been damaged? Are all bonding strips original, in tact and properly in place?

Any drips, leaks or unusual noises?

Are you open to offers of entirely "firm" on your price?

Many times there are hood 'shims' at the front hinge brackets and somebody just might have been overly aggressive in adding them.
Maybe the seller can post pictures of both sides at the front and confirm. If this is the case its a very simple fix.

if it's that easy--shim adjustment--get it done already, it spoils the looks of the front end. and if it's not that easy, given the asking price, fix it anyway.

For those interested it's on E Bay with seven hours to go, $64,199.99
No concerns over the hood. Probably will fall short of the asking price?

So now that the auction ended at $ 65,200 without meeting the reserve (whatever that was), what's next? an eBay re-list, a stated asking price here on the Forum, an ad in your local CL?

If it got close to the reserve you can always contact the highest bidder and work something out if you're negotiable on the sales price. That is how I bought my '61.

Personally, I'm not sure eBay is the best venue to sell cars at the upper end of the price spectrum...but to each his own.

You could take some time and out the right wheels/hubcaps on the car, fix the hood, etc.. and run it down here to Florida in January for the Mecum auction and I bet you get close to your money.

Sure I'll explain my ethics. You are the pending sale..... I am still awaiting the shops inspection results.

Perhaps next time we communicate it will be via cell or PM?

if it isn't sold, send me a PM. You never replied to my email and I'm still searching for a good SWC.
