While it would nice to have a title, Maine doesn't require titles for cars 15 years old or more. Any state will accept a bill of sale and a copy of the registration as sufficient to issue a title in your state. We can get a title for old cars but it is not an easy process and the inspectors are not that aware of things like where the VIN tag is located in older cars. Don't let the no title scare you away.
