Default wtb 67 427/435

After searching for 1 year for a "real" 67 427/435 and finally finding & purchasing one ( Bloomington gold 98.1, NCRS regional 94.7), my advise to you is to find a car that has been judged at an NCRS regional event. Restoration must be done by NCRS guidelines, using NOS (new old stock) parts only. I obtained the judging sheets from the seller, and had Mike Donally, an NCRS master judge, review them. This is the only way that you can verify that the car is a real, original car.

funny funny, all that does is that it meets the the guide line in the judging manual which ANYONE can duplicate. Good luck

Default 67 wtb 435

Appreciate the advice from you both. As a friend has reminded me more than once The "Corvette community" is MUCH smaller than you think. I've been down this road since 1999 & if you think that the TV show Shark Tank is tough----HAAA-----More fake 435's out there than you know.

On the other hand there are some real cars out there with real honest owners who love the hobby the cars & best of all the friends they have made along the way !

I have been lucky enough to have met some awesome people & the secret to this search is patience.

And best of all THANK GOD SPRING IS FINALLY HERE !!!
Get the cars out gang !!

If any of you know of a real car out there -----give me a shout.

Well, Mr. smartypants, since you seem to know so much, why don't you step up to the plate and give some advice!

Since your username is 67air, I thought that I would bring up a marina blue 400 ac coupe that is for sale. Original engine, POP and an older Nabers restoration but still shows nicely. Price was in the 165 range last time I heard about it.

Hey SBR---Ya I think I saw that one. NICE CAR. Yup your right , like I said, I got into this hobby back in 1999. Bought a 67 400 Air car. Still have her. Now , I'm searching for a solid lifter motor 67.

Like a pal of mine says--"Corvettes are like potato Chips---Ya can't have JUST ONE "

I looked at this car some time ago. Not an original sidepipe car.

" Real Deal " Put me on your list also..... original nuts and bolt car, price based on my bank account. Everyone is looking for the bargain. I don't believe you will find it here.
By the way ... I saw a build sheet ( a copy ) that was aged with moisture and heat, probably used a light source to get the proper yellowing color. Anything can be duplicated these days when the price is right.
Good luck on the search ... and happy trails !
