Thanks Jim,
Well, I just bought it. All numbers match, one mechanic since 1975 and a pretty well optioned car with power windows, power brakes, AC, tinted class, transistorized ignition, posi, M21 4 speed and AM/FM. I'm pretty pumped. Never been restored but clean as a whistle with 78,000 miles so I will keep it as a survivor for a while. Will drive it to the vintage races with cool AC to run my 63 SWC.

Here is the thread I started in general discussions:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...-question.html
It's red / black now but should be satin silver / black with silver seats. I will put it back to original.

95% of corvettes are number match today because of restamp and can be NCRS awarded! So concentrate on rare parts like the dinner dish pulley on the compressor very rare and rare exhaust manifolds and owner history and see if a dealer has ever touched it. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
