Anybody seen this version of it, or, contacted this guy? Please click on "Description". Lots of detail. Way too much for a scammer, IMHO.
Craigslist poster may have swiped the pics from this ad?

It really sucks that people keep getting scammed like this. The fraudster doesn't own the car, he copied the pics from the internet, copied or made up the VIN, uses disposable cell phones and doesn't live in any of the locations he posts locally for sale. Frankie had it exactly right. If the seller balks at a cash deal contingent on a visit to see the car, it's a fraudulent deal. These folks prey on those that want to make a quick purchase and get a great deal before someone else scoops it up. They are getting better as it used to be much easier to see. The fraudsters would put pics up of a car with shiny paint, detailed engine, numbers matching and perfect everything and then price it at $14K. This one as a project was more reasonably priced and probably why it generated so much interest and got a quick strike just like a hungry bass all over a crank bait in the spring...

If it's too cheap and sounds too good to be true, get ready to get screwed. Never , never wire money, etc. until you touch the car and meet the owner. Verify the info you receive, google the phone number, name etc. If it dont check out , buyer beware. So sorry for you guys. I'm pissed and it doesnt affect me at all. This son of bitch needs an adjustment.

Desmond Howard scored a touchdown in the Superbowl (fake name) This guy is raking in money on this sight alone. IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT A SCAM always ask why cant he take it to someone close and sell it? Plenty of classic car dealers in every town.

This guy has cleared about $10 G's in about 5 weeks just with the scams we know about right here. A 6-digit tax free, annual income just for posting some old photos around. Crime pays.

Guys, I think the interest of this scam goes beyond this one sale ad, so I am going to move this to the General Section so more people can see it. I think more exposure benefits everyone.

Before I retired from the Dept of Justice in Wash DC the FBI had just cranked up their cybercrime division. Time to get the 'big dogs' on this criminal:

I think the multi-state, multi-victim and dollar amount aspects of this scam might have moved it into the 'major cyber fraud' category so the Feds may be willing to get involved. Let this clown hide from these guys. I've seen some of their techniques and tools; wouldn't want 'em after me.
