Default 1954 Motorama Fastback YOUR SPECS

Building a Fastback on a real 54 body. This car is being built to sell. I'm not mass producing these cars. Just this one car for sale to the public. Not interested in selling roof and trunk panels individually.

The construction will be different than others, as the windshield will be 2" taller. The original molds that I made with Bob Mangold were shorter at the windshield area than I was comfortable with. I'm 5"7". If anyone was any taller, I feel that there could be an issue for the driver.

This car can be built to your specs. Color, interior design and materials. A choice of chassis is also available, since I haven't purchased one yet. I like the SRIII chassis as well as Street Shops. These cahssis can be setup for most any drivetrain that you wish. OR purchase a finished body at a reduced cost and build the rest of the car yourself.

This car's basic conversion and completion cost is $80k. All parts, materials and out of shop services are an extra cost during the build. Other costs will be dependent upon your options that you want added.

If I don't sell it, I'll build it my way and keep it.

PM me or call 765-623-6154 for more information.

Waaay out of my league, but it sounds really cool! Good luck on the build!

It sounds like you've built these before. Any pics of a completed one?

I've had one in the works for a while for a customer but not yet built it for him due to his schedule.

This will be the first! There's been a lot of pre-planning for trim and fitment going on for months. I can't wait any longer to do it.

It's time to pull the trigger on the first one.

I did some googling to educate myself, and was surprised to learn of the GM "corvair" showcar. There's another site where a guy was blogging about doing a similiar project....very, very cool! Is there any relationship with you and that guy?

Either way, I salute your efforts. This is a really interesting project!

I'm a GM designer, and I'm going to try to find out what ever happened to that old showcar....hopefully, we've still got it hidden away somewhere!

The only other person involved with the Corvair, that I have a relationship with, is Bob Mangold, Back To The Future products, Washington State. Bob and I made the molds.

Here's what the original looked like back in 1954.

That looks like a keeper to me. Good luck with sale. Someone is going to have a sweet ride.

Brett, Didn't I read somewhere that you were going to build one for the NCM ?

Yes. Not sure how that information got out. I have expressed a desire to donate or do a very long term loan of the car in 50's period correct Mint Green.

I like it! Am I correct that you're just selling the one, not other services? You have to be a supporting vendor to do that.

You're correct. Just selling the one. Not advertising for any service.
