I have a 1967 Coupe that I am looking to sell. You may have seen this car previously listed on E-bay. I seem to have problems getting a winner bidder that actually intends on paying for the car.
Asking $35,000. It is a 327/350HP 4 speed. ID plate identifies the car as originally Marlboro Maroon. I like red, so it is currently red. It was stripped to the glass and repainted it's current color. This was my first attempt at a body off restoration, and I do not claim to be an expert, but I did try to go original on all parts that I replaced during it's restoration. The car was sold to me as being matching numbers original engine, I still believe that to be a true statement. On the engine pad, there is an additional number stamped over the top of the serial number, and I do mean over the top, and not that the serial number was added later. I have had several home experts state opinions on what the additional number means, at this point I can't say what it stands for. Pics of the car can be sent at request.
As of 04/06/2010, asking $34,000.

Reason: Revise asking price

Reason: mispelling email address
The current color is 1967 Rally Red. Sorry, I don't know the rear end numbers. You are correct the passenger side hood to fender is not a perfect fit. I don't believe this car was ever in an accident. The frame was straight and looked undamaged. No power steering or brakes. Although it wasn't asked here, I was asked on the question on e-bay, neither auction winner ever showed up to look at the car, so they can not use the excuse that the car was not what they were expecting. I strongly suggest anyone interested in the car come look at it before discussing a sale.

Not to pick on you or the car, but the front edge of hood sits higher than body, has the front end of body been replaced?
Looks like good car at very reasonable price, you should have no problem selling it.
could be a hinge adjusment or an extra shim on the passenger side between the hood and hinge, worth a look because fixing things like that eliminates these questions...looks like a nice car from the pics on Ebay, i see it says winning bid on ebay...is it sold?
I consider it to be sold after payment is made. Terms of the e-bay auction was $500 deposit in 24 hours, and full payment in 7 days. It has been 14 days, and no deposit yet. No communication from auction winner except that he was sending a buddy to pick it up. Some where he missed the part about paying for it. Don't ya just love e-bay?
hey henry...my old 66-390h.p. coupe had an extra set of numbers also stamped on the pad such as yours. nolan adams told me that in the old days when motors were rebuilt, some shops stamped a number somewhere on the pad as a reference number for the work they did so in the future they could look up what was done if receipts were lost. sounds like a good idea, but not exactly N.C.R.S approved. maybe your extra numbers are just that.
Power was the winning bidder a dealer and said he friend was coming to pick it up. If it was he used the same lin with me but he paid for the auction, not the car. Was his name Tow- something?
Could you please tell me how long you have had the little car,and how long has it been sence painted,is it base coat clear coat ? Was there any broken fiberglass that was just glassed over and painted, and was any body panels replaced? Are all the bonding strips still in place? Thanks Sammy
My brother purchased this car as a project in 1997. He took the body off and did the sandblasting and painting of the frame. I purchased the car from him in 1999. The paint was completed in 2001. Most of the parts were replaced by 2002. I still continue to add original 1967 parts as I find them and funds become available. Paint is not base coat, clear coat. It is Omni AU MTK 2K Urethane. Didn't find any broken panels. I checked the front end this morning, and found the original bonding strips still in place. I will check the rear body panels tomorrow. I believe the drivers door was replaced in the past, but have not found any signs of an accident.

POWERGLIDE 66 said this was his first body off rest. Do the gaps and missalinement come from the body off, did the body sag or something happen to cause this? The Vette looks very nice, for having no options, just eng and trans, all go. Thanks
