That car has extreme curb appeal and the body panel fits look excellent. Does the A/C work and is it running R-12? I see it has an aftermarket radiator, any issues with running hot? Thanks
Thanks, the radiator was replaced a few years ago when the car was in South Fla. It has no overheating issues at all. An electrice fan was also added between the radiator and the clutch fan. I pulled the fuse out of that fan and have not used it. It could be removed if you don't want it in. Even without the electric fan, the car doesn't get close to overheating. I took out the 160 thermostat and put in a 180 when I got the car.
The A/C is working and has been converted to R134 according to the previous owner. I don't know how to verify that, but if you know, I will check for you.
One note, the heater core was bypassed when I bought the car. I reconnected it and the heat and controls all work great, however there was a drip from the heater core inside. I reconnected the bypass and blew out the coolant. If you want the heat to work, I assume the core will need to be replaced unless there is a way to seal it without replacing.
There is also an aftermarket stereo mounted very nicely in the glovebox with an amp and speakers in the back under the jack cover. I can send pictures if you are interested.
Let me know if there are any other questions or if you need pictures of anything. I will be home Friday and can take pictures for you.
Thanks for the interest. Jack
Jack,
Thank you for the honest description. I think it is a very nice car and priced reasonably. I dumped the piggy bank over this morning, then shook it, and only dust came out I hope it finds a good home with someone here on the forum.

Thanks, I'm not pressured to sell, so I'm ok. A number of family happenings and other medical considerations make it better to sell and get a newer, less expensive car to drive. Also, my grandson really misses the 03 convertible and would like to have it back, so we'll see how it goes. I also hope someone gets the car who will appreciate it. I will go over the details of the car with any serious buyer and answer any questions honestly.
Isn't this the same car that was just purchased in Florida a few weeks ago? A little profit motive here, don,t ya think?
I don't see how I can be motivated by profit if I'm selling it for less than I have in it. My wife has major medical problems requiring open heart surgery and I find that I can no longer physically work on the car like I thought I could due to a bad back. Everything considered, I decided to see if someone else would like to spend the time with the car. If not, fine. I can afford to keep it. I am expecting to lose a couple of thousand dollars after only having the car a month. If that's a profit, I'll get rich in the used car business.
Apparently you feel that making a profit is somehow a negative thing. I've explained that I'm selling for less than I paid. If you don't like my price, move on to some other sale. Let's see you find a car equipped like this car for this kind of money. My price is between me and a buyer. Are you a buyer? What's your offer? Are you advancing the sale?
Thanks, my wife had a stroke caused by a bad heart valve that had to be replaced. She is doing fine. That, along with my back preventing me from doing things I have always done for myself with the older cars and increased travel for work has taken away some of the pleasure of maintaining a 44 year old car. I still love them, but life goes on. My grandson really misses the 03 Convertible, so I told him I'd try to buy one just like it and hang on to it for him.
I'll try to add some pictures (trim tag, door jambs, underneath, etc) this weekend for serious buyers.
I got a great e-mail from another member advising me to sell other than on the forum because of all the negatives the know-it-alls who don't own cars come up with. If I get to the point I need to sell, I'll do that. Right now it's in a heated, carpeted garage and not hurting anything at all. I'll move some stuff and put the 78 silver anniversary beside it soon.
I cant resist adding my 2 cents worth. first off your- car looks like a solid car at a reasonable price,If my 66 big block sold I would be down looking at the car TODAY. Second-What difference should it be to a potential buyer if you are making a profit or not,If it is a fair price for a good car that is all that should matter. I don't get some of the people on this forum sometimes,If you are not interested in the car keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Good luck with the sale
First let me apologize to 65GGVERT. I only meant my comment to be tongue and cheek. I thought this forum was for the hobbiest but I've noticed some vettes have been flipped in a very short time. Yes it is the buyers option to resell the car if he or she wants. I just thought this forum was miles apart from the ebay type sites. Hope your wifes recovery goes well.!!
IMO Ebay is the fastest and easiest way to get a good sale. I've had very good results there several times now. If you are interested, send me an e-mail and I will gladly share my insight on how to get one sold fast on Ebay.

Maybe it's none of your business....unless you have interest in buying the car, and that should be between you and the seller. Something tells me you're not a buyer. He didn't ask for you to post your opinion about his motive. Read the rules. Jeff Garner
Thanks guys, everything is going well.
Fred Kay, no problem. It just struck me wrong that someone made it sound like a negative to make a profit. Especially without even knowing what I paid for the car. It was more the negative experience I've had with some members here who feel the need to interfere than it was your comment. If I sold my car for the asking price, I'd be losing just over a thousand dollars with the shipping, property tax, road use tax in NC and registration. I am willing to take a small loss, but I won't take a beating, I'll keep the car and let my estate handle it. Thanks for the apology, not necessary, but it's accepted with no hard feelings.

I think it's a fair question. If someone is using the Forum as a platform for a business and is not disclosing it and is not a Forum sponsor, it is an issue. It's been explained.
