When looking for a GS replica, carefully look at everything.... is it a "remodeled mid-year" Corvette, or is it a true replica, with tubular frame etc. Check out the Suspension, mid-year vs C4 etc. Price may alter the "components" to the Grand Sport replica. If looking for help, there are many GS replica owners at this Corvette Forum. Don't be afraid to Ask.
Let us know how you make out..... Sam

Thanks for the info Great looking car you built . I am looking for a coupe though I have been doing my homework and gathering information . So , far I like the Mongoose cars , and show interest in the new Superformance cars available soon . Have a friens who has a Superformance Cobra
I was able to stop by Duntov last week to take a look at their shop during my move. They are in the works of producing a licensed Grand Sport reproduction based on the original molds and drawings that they bought from GM and built through Superformance. I saw some of the tubular frames and they look great. It should be pretty awesome, they are planned to be everything minus that engine and transmission. If I has the money I would totally buy one.

here in NE ohio, we have an outfit called mongoose motorsports - don't know much about their replicas, but i'm thinking they evolved from a company that built GS bodies years ago - D&D corvettes. anyway, here is a website on their version of the GS -

So long old GAL, it was great running with you!!!!!!!!
As you can see one of the original Grand Sports was sold to Alan Sevadjian who now owns Duntov. If you live in Dallas I suggest you make a trip, their shop is awesome with Corvette race cars everywhere. From what I was told they are the ones who are leading the replica program through Superformance. Give them a call, they will tell you everything.

GM licensed only means a license fee was paid. It has nothing to do with anything regarding quality, accuracy or country of origin.
GM resto license scam is merely a marketing badge. Pay the fee and get the tag.....
