Not really, the prices in many areas are crash diving, not just slipping.
Odds are it isn't an NCRS 99% restoration, but even then, the price is dropping to very unreal prices.
A lot of people are discovering they can't eat their investments. I've seen cars that would have been $80,000 or more 2 years ago advertised for $40,000 in the past few weeks.
I have seen a few C1s listed in the $30s.
What is throwing some people is that there are cars out there that are priced ridiculously for the current climate. I've seen an '85 listed for around $13,000. Now '85s are normally in the $4000 to $6000 range so $8000 or $9000 would be high and obviously an exceptional one, but $13,000???????
There have not been a lot of C2s listed in the regular classifieds like local web sites or Craigslist, but several that are are much lower than 2 years ago. Quite a few in the $40s and low $50s and '64s in the '30s. Yes, I know, the poor stepchild '64s. But it is a chance to get some really nice cars at great prices.
And Corvette Forum, which I have seen in the past often has lower prices than Craigslist or eBay, seems to be trying to hold the prices up. The C4 and C5 prices are higher here in CF than out in the rest of the electronic world by about 20% to 25%.
