1963 SWC For Sale
Since several forum members commented on Jerry Bramlett's description and format of his car I chose to use a description along the same lines.

This is not a restored/correct NCRS car, so if that is what you are looking for this is probably not the car for you. It is a very nice driver that you can turn the key and have fun in.
I have tracked down some history on the car from the gentleman who owned it from 1978 -1999. He was the one who converted it to a Red/Red car in the early 1980’s. The engine looks to have been re-stamped given it is exactly one digit off from the VIN. The car has been inspected by Tony Avedisian of Tony’s Corvette Shop in Gaithersburg, Maryland. One of Tony’s comments was “this car has 3 components you are always looking for, no hit body, solid rust free, accident free frame and super solid no rust birdcage”.
The fiberglass body is in excellent condition and has never been crashed. All the bonding strips are still intact and all body panels are assembly line originals. The red paint is in very good shape for a twenty year old plus paint job and it still has a good shine. There are a couple of areas where it looks like the car had been bumped at one time. Below both front corner markers there are quarter size patches. On the front fender lips there are tiny patches you can feel underneath, but no larger than your thumb. The right rear quarter panel has a small patch the length of an index finger. All of the chrome and stainless trim pieces are in very good condition.
I have recently replaced all the interior carpet with a new set from ACC and have laid sound/heat insulation, similar to DynaMat underneath. The dash pad is a reproduction, looks brand new and does not have any cracks. The seats are original and were probably recovered in the 80’s and are in excellent shape however the driver’s seat has one small worn spot on the seat back. The seat belts are reproduction. All the gauges work including the clock and had been reconditioned by the Clock Dr. There is a correct AM/FM radio as well. The heater fan works, but the heater core is not connected to the engine.
The chassis shows no sign of ever being in an accident and only has some surface rust. The kick-up areas are in excellent shape. It does have a 3.70 posi rear which I believe is original to the car. The steering, suspension bushings, brakes, shocks, u-joints, trailing arms, etc. are all in decent condition. The radiator is a correct Harrison replacement unit dated 1977 that cools just fine. The car has a set of reproduction knock-offs with radial tires which are in very good condition. The knock-offs probably need a little reconditioning done to them.
The car currently has a 327/340 NOM in it. The block casting number is 3782870 and dated B 19 3. While the owner from 1978-1999 didn’t admit to stamping the block it seems whoever did accidently messed up on one of the numbers as it is one digit off from the VIN. Currently has a Carter #3721SB AFB carburetor, with a reproduction ’63 air cleaner.

What a beautiful car!
Actually, I think your ad is more descriptive than mine was... but you didn't really capture my surly attitude.
Good luck with the sale.

It is no longer listed on Mershons site... so, I guess they sold that "matching number" rare red/red just as it came from the factory Corvette.
I hope whoever bought it finds out the real story on that car and sues the crap out of them.
