Hi,
Looking to see if there are any project 59 Vettes available. I am looking for any condition at this point because I can not find any to buy. I am in the northeast.
I have a 59 crown saphire w/turquoise int., all original never been restored, one repaint in 80's over original saphire. Original hardtop in excellent condition and white soft top needing restored w/new al knoch top still in box. Car would easily get bloomington gold survivor if I had time to take it there. high hp. 270 hp dual 4's. $65,000 firm.
I am looking for a really rough non matching numbers 59 Vette if that is even possible, that will need a lot of work compared to your car. I want a driver not a show car. I love the 59's style and for me that is worth doing a lot of work on to get it on the road again. I just want a cool 59 that needs just about everything except paperwork for registering at the DMV.
I can trade, with cash of course, a 1968 Camaro SS Convertible with original drivetrain, 396/325hp, Muncie 4 speed, 3.07 gears in a 12 bolt that is a driver never restored except for a paint job in 1981. Or pay in cash if that is what you would rather have.
I am going to pass on that one. So far I have the 2 opposite ends of the spectrum to choose from in cars. Keep them coming, I can meet at Corvette Carlisle if that helps.
Hi, This is dave who you been PM-ing about the 59 I sold. The car may still be for sale, I dont think he has done anything with it, and it runs and drives, has a totaly restored frame, but needs the body and interior work. Non numbers matching, but a neat looking car. I can call him to see whats up with it.
If you would consider a 1960 I just found a triple black original motor 230hp, 4sp that need paint and some interior work. Just replaced the gas tank, fuel lines, brakes, and I am having the carb rebuilt. $35,000 Call me if you have interest at 678-488-5461 Reggie Martin/Atlanta
I have a '59 that is Roman Red with white cove and white bubble top. Interior is also Roman Red. I have owned the car since 1984 and have shown it locally. Original rear end and T-10 4 speed. Motor is not original but is from '59 and has less then 500 miles on it since it has been rebuilt. Currently it has a Holley 4 barrel but I do have the dual quads, WCFB's for it also. Will send pic if interested.
I am looking for a really rough non matching numbers 59 Vette if that is even possible, .
Keep in mind that no 1959 Corvettes are really numbers matching, because that year the engine did not have a VIN derivative to match the body or frame.
The block number might be correct, and the date codes could be appropriate, but there are no numbers to "match," period.
I prefer non matching numbers for this project. I will be in touch with those of you that responded here. I appreciate all the help. I just want a car that I can drive. If it takes some work and parts that is ok.
If the car was original and had problems that is just a really nice added bonus.
