Alan...Thank you...it is a nice car. I have owned it twice and it pains me to sell it. I judge for the NCRS and you don't see too many 67 white/red 427's at the meets. I must say I am humored by all the "questioning" about why it seems a quantity of cars are appearing for sale. Every reason in the world has been hit on except mine...retirement. The wife and I have decided to downsize so we have less responsibility. Because we grew up in the 60's, we will always have a C2 around til life's end because they represent an important era of our life and we want one no matter what the worth of one is.
A very nice car... I live in Clovis, NM and I spoke to the owner of the dealership last night and told him about your car and it coming from "Doc Stewart Chevrolet." Doc Stewart passed away several years ago and the dealership was sold to the Benders, also in the dealership business for many decades. I will forward the address above to him and you never know......

That is really nice of you and much appreciated. You are right...you never know. When I owned this car the first time (1996ish) I talked to Doc Stewart. What a nice man. He told me all about his dealership, sent me handwritten notes about the business and even sent me pictures of himself with former secretary of defense Wienberger, and pictures of his dealership out of the 1960's...one picture was black/white with a 64 vette setting in the middle. Doc even remembered who he sold the car to, Dale Campbell, also of Clovis. Doc called him for me too back then. Unfortunately, Doc died 4/07 and Dale died in 2002 at age 92. I did talk to Dale's widow this past spring and she sent me a picture of Dale taken in 1977. I love chasing history. I sure hate to put this car on the market.
As money tightens and good cars become available if you are looking to purchase, it probably pays to be selective and find something that stands out from the "average" C2. This car certainly does that. And I have known Gary for a long time and he is a stand up guy and a pleasure to do business with.
Hey, I lived in Clovis from 1978 to 1982. My son was even born there - not a lot else to do!!! I also knew Doc Stewart, and the Benders. I still have friends who have lived their whole lives in Clovis. I bought my first corvette, a 66 blue vert, from Micky Simms, also a Clovis native and member of the committee of 50. He lived out on East 21 Street.
Since then, I retired from the military in Albuquerque. I still own my 66 vette (it's in the 3rd month of a 6 month rebuild - cause I can - now). My son gets it in the will!!! Good luck selling yours. If I had the $, I'd buy it. It should sell soon.
Another from Clovis to respond. Interesting. Doc Stewart send me a 1960's B&W picture of Al Jolly, Hal Stone (sp) and Bill Craft. They were sales and service people who had worked for him a long time. Maybe you know those guys too. Thanks for responding.
