Default 1966 427/390HP Matching #s Coupe

Milano Maroon/Black Interior with side exhaust. Needs complete restoration. Car is complete. All tags and codes match for block. Pictures are available at www.e-vette.com

Could I get some suggestions as to what a going price may be on a corvette like this? Thanks.

Corvette Enthusiast mag. price guide shows 27500 if it was all original and ready drive. Deduct for all such as if it does not run and what will it take to get her running, etc.. Cost of finding original parts etc.. DG

Depends how much effort you want to put into finding the value....It might be helpful if you provided some additional information. For example, any documentation with the car (e.g., POP, titles, sticker)?

I would also suggest finding out what options are on the car (or are on the car currently besides the 427/390).

Then I would suggest finding out if the engine, transmission and axle have the correct / matching stamps.

Does the trim tag match the color of the car? Looks like it will need a repaint, but the true color of the car will help with value.

BTW, that engine bay looks scary from here.

Any insight into the condition of the frame? Any visible rust?

If you are feeling really motivated, pulling the numbers off the various components and taking photos of each would be helpful.

The block details have been thoroughly reviewed. Codes on the front of the block match codes under the dash. Codes at the back of the block match a 427 390 HP Corvette 1966. Tags under the dash show original rivets. Serial number on block appears to be of original vintage. Car was orignally Milan Maroon and Black Interior as it is now. This again matches trim tags. Car appears to be a radio delete. Original 4 speed. No other options. It has side exhaust, but, that is the one option that doesn't appear as original. There is no tank sticker or other historic documentation. It is a clear registration per New York State. Titles did not exist in 1966.

One last note: the frame appears structurally sound with regards to rust.

I'm not too far from you and might be in the market.

Do you have an idea of the price you have in mind?
