I respectfully disagree. "Decent" is avery subjective term. What does that mean? I have a 67 390 convertible, well optioned, unhit body along with a tank sticker and POP. You could not buy it for under six figures in the range of 110-125K. I can buy a documented 435 for 135-145K right now. A 390 car of the same quality is not worth that much less. At 85K it is a steal if the car is a great car with docs and not just "decent".

I think you will find you are in the minority.

I agree with you totally that "decent" a very subjective term.Judging a car from a couple of pictures and a very non descript description is also very subjective.I will also agree that these cars though similar can be as much as $40K difference. However I highly disagree with your 435hp car opinion. My statement implied and should have said that a 435hp car in the same condition is worth substantially more than a 390hp car.Now a 390hp and 400hp car in the same condition are a lot closer. The 435hp car is in my opinion and that of the majority of buyers out there worth at least 50 percent more and maybe as much as 100 percent more. While there are and have been 390hp cars sell for $125K+ or more there have been 435hp cars sell for $350K+.Those figures are not opinions they are facts.By the way I know of a few 390hp cars that have sold for more than $150k but they were very very rare cars with very rare combos and they are worth +200K even in todays market
