Does anyone have an opinion or thoughts on the current ebay auction 290208073390 for a claimed numbers matching 245HP one of 190 panama yellow 1958 corvette? It is being sold by Mershones and MY CONCERN is that the same vin number appears on the C1 registry http://www.c1registry.com/index.php?...02-21&uid=5567 as a signet red 230 base hp model. ....?

it is interesting that the car with serial number that you link to in your first post is the car in their ad.But not the one with that serial number

It looks like a real nice car. Looking at it real quick, has the wrong gauges in it,wrong oil pan on it,deck lid is painted wrong on the inside.wrong radio, etc, etc.

Hi

I thought Panama Yellow cars had Charcoal (not black) interiors, look at this link

I thought '58 had the Charcoal interior and not the black. Maybe it just looks as though it is a Black interior.

Charcoal is correct for the Panama Yellow '58s. It is however a very dark charcoal color and in some photos may look black. You can definitely see the difference in direct sun.

Another possibility is that the covers used for this car were indeed black, but should be charcoal. Some of the aftermarket cover makers offer what I would consider Black and not charcoal.

For good information about a Panama Yellow 1958 Corvette search the archives for posts by Kevin C. O'Malley. And then hold on
