I have owned & restored this car 20 years ago....bought and restored 1987. Vehicle is white on correct bright blue interior...original nassau blue car. May repaint the car nassau blue next winter as the blue on blue is quite striking. Body is straightened and gapped...lets call it a blue printed body...doors can be closed with your baby finger.
It is a correct car & loaded...decked block.
This is a strong #2 vehicle.
Optioned with...300 HP, PG, A/C, PS, PB, PW, H/TOP, upgraded to leather, Repro K.O.s, S.S. underbody exhaust, day/night mirror, am/fm radio, p.a.
Bought an 04 triple black roadster last July..got to part with one of then within the next 24 months.
will powerglide cars come into favour as the we age?
Don't sell it..you can't get it back. But if you do sell it sell it to me because I can't find one! Later models are plentiful and midyears are not. Do what you really want and keep both.
Location: PHOENIX AZ. WHAT A MAN WON"T SPEND TO GIVE HIS ASS A RIDE

What do you want for your car? Are you fishing. We are not biting here. Please list a price. i will bid20,000
Powerglide cars have an upside, although to a smaller market segment than 4 speeds, and therefore bring less money than a 4 speed car in comparable condition.

Kenba is not bustin' your chops. If your car is for sale, post the price as stated in the forum rules. If it is not for sale, you would have better responses by posting you questions in the C1/C2 General Forum and filling out your profile information.
I would say my car is worth between $60K to $65K at this time. If I repainted the vehicle the original nassau blue at a cost of $3500 to $5000 would be able to recoup my $$$ spent on paint or would i be furthur ahead to sell it as is. That is the question??

my opinion which as my wife says is not worth a whole bunch.Your car has some very nice options and nice color combo. But the down side for me and from what I see in the market place is it is an automatic,it is not the original color, and it would be thought of as nom. because the block is decked.I would have to put a real nice #2 car like that at $40K-$45K.Again just my opinion from what I see in the market place. If I were you I would keep it and enjoy a nice car.

thanks dennis, how much would you think the value of the vehicle would increase if repainted the vehicle back to the original nassau blue. In other words I am looking $3500 to $5000 is it worth it cuz the paint is till good.
If you're planning on selling the car, I'd suggest selling as is and not worrying about paint. Why spend 6-8 thousand to get 6-8 thousand more for your car. Wait for spring, watch the market, and see if similar cars are bringing what you need to get for yours. If not, hang on to it and enjoy it. If you need to sell it, see what kind of interest it draws on ebay or some of the other online places.
Good luck,
Danno

A Drake Bulldog huh....you must be a proud alum this season. Their basketball team was ranked 16 there for a while. They were riding on a 22 game winning streak.....fun team to watch. If you want to watch them....tune in this afternoon at 4:00pm CST and watch them play Butler on one of the ESPN channels.
You're not kidding on the old BB's. They could be had for a couple grand back in the mid 70's. I'll bet you're familiar with some of the old haunts like Jolly's Place, So's Your Mother's, Peggy's....those names ring a bell?

I live in the Toronto area in Canada no access to Bulldog bb games. But oh yes they certainly ring a bell "quaffed" a few ale in those establishments...I guess they are still around...is Uncle Sam's still around?
Too bad you couldn't watch the game....Drake just beat the #8 team in the country on the road.....beautiful game. Uncle Sam's....man I haven't thought about that place in a long time.....that was a disco joint.....and a meat factory. That building now houses a senior center or something like that. The area has changed quite a bit. I own a 63 vert....here's a pic.
Let me know if you ever make it back to the area.....I'll give you a tour in the 63.
Take care,
Danno

Thanks Danno,
one day I may take you up on that. How old are you? You can likely guess my age.
Came real close to selling the 66, but when it came down to the nitty gritty the wife pulled out her cheque book and asked me what I wanted for it, well the rest is history...now i got both the 66 & the 04.
Let's just say I was in middle school when you were at Drake.
Your wife sounds like a keeper. Glad to hear you're going to hold on to your 66.....you won't regret it once the weather turns nice. I've toyed with the idea of selling my 63 more than once, but once springtime hits......I can't imagine not having it. I love this car.
