Looks nice from the outside, plus a 350hp air coupe would be great to drive around.
My only concern is that the frame might have just be painted instead of repaired. Notice in the picture below, that the leading edge of the frame appears rusty. Emphasis on the word "appears". The picture isn't the best.
If you are serious about the car, have someone in the area take a look at it for you. If you want an opinion towards the originality of it, get someone from the local NCRS chapter to check it out.

Good eye, the knowledge of the members of this forum is priceless !
This car was sold at the West Palm Beach B-J Auction, Apr 1-3, 2005 for $50,760.
Owner states "only 485 miles since restoration". Looking at the photos of the underside of the car, I would question the quality and/or the extent of the so called "painstakenly restored to NCRS award-winning specifications" restoration.
"Restored to NCRS award-winning specifications" Show me the Awards.
As a buyer, I would be making sure that it's an original side mount exhaust car and that the KO's were indeed original K-H wheels as those two items and significant value to the car. Nice car, but the owner has a nice price tag on it also. LOOKY HERE
The current owner noted the person he got it from paid $47 plus another 6k commision. I too thought the bottom looked not so hot. Do the seats like right ? Owner noted the car is no fun to drive - afraid to nick it ???
What do you think would be a good fair offer if the wheels and exhaust are orginal ?? Owner did not know who did restore or paint kind of paint ws on it - all I want is weekend driver - let someone after me worry about the nicks - life is to short.
Where are the awards! If you only want a driver you can come up with one for a lot less money than that! And no the seats don't look right!I would say keep looking!
Location: Park City to SoCal - according to the map it's all down hill. No bad days in Indian Wells, California
Well it's a long story, but the car in question in this thread is a 65 and I know the seats I showed are 65 seats even though they are in his 66, but 65 seats were asked for and well..... as the old saying goes, yada yada yada
Wow, I hate that "NCRS award-winning specs" BS. Obviously there's no "award" (uh, does that include a Third Flight Award???) and I suppose he explains away the misleading statement with "it was restored to specs that would result in an award." Of some kind. I guess.
This kind of Snake Oil would make me not believe anything the guy said.
Oh, and I like the brilliant $20k spread on the "appraisal." You would think an appraiser would at least say "body-off" too. Yet another "appraisal" not worth the paper it's printed on.
