Default Getting a car inspected...

Hi guys-
I'm fairly new to this forum and looking for my dream car, a '63 swc. I live on the west coast, so I might find it difficult to get a car inspected (prior to purchase) elsewhere in the country. Does anyone know if there is a 'network' I can contact about getting a car inspected by people I can trust who live in the area where I might find my car?
Thanks for any advice you might have for me.

Basically, this is the network. Ask here first and if no one is able they will either reccomend some one or at least point you in the right, reputable direction.

Did you see the 63 SWC here in the For Sale located in Florida - Asking 25K

In addition to posting here you can contact any local NCRS Chapter and can find an expert in whichever era Vette you're looking to buy. Good luck in your search.

Absolutely, contacting the local chapter National Corvette Restorers Society or one of the national leaders will put you in touch with an expert willing and able to inspect a car for you. It will be money well spent. http://www.ncrs.org/

Good luck!

If you are a member of the NCRS, it doesn't cost anything. I had two fellows look over my car for 2 hours before I bought it.

rss454 has summed it up nicely. I talked to one NCRS expert about inspecting a car over four hours drive away from him and he was going to charge $250. If he had to stay over night it was $350. That is the best and cheapest insurance you can ever get.

Good Luck!
