Default Any interest in trading modified or NOM C2 for like new L82/4 speed Pace Car

I have a never registered L82/4Speed 2,625 mile Pace Car that I would like to sell (37K OBO) or trade for a "driver" quality C2. I'm not looking for a rare high end NCRS type car. I would consider coupe or convertible (prefer 4 speed) - NOM - entry level Sting Ray with very presentable appearence. Resto-mods and hot rods are fine also. Would even consider flared fenders.
The Pace Car has cloth interior and the plastic is still on the seats and the mats have never been stepped on. The interior has no fadding what so ever.
All the factory marking and tags are in place. The only parts that are on the car that are not from the factory are the fan belt (broke with less than 200 miles), the heat control valve (leaked with less than 500 miles) and the battery (long since went dead).
The window sticker is still on the window but I replaced the window with a brand new GM door glass so if you choose to drive the car you can see.
Now what does the car need? The A/C needs to be charged and the P/antenna does not come come up. The undercarriage needs to be detailed. As you can see while the car was always garaged there is surface rust on the uncoated metal of the undercarriage. A brass wire brush and WD40 seems to clean it up without too much effort. The exhaust pipe between the cat converter and the mufflers is the worst and would likely need to be glass beaded. If you wanted to drive this car I would say that being 29+ years old you have to do the brakes to be safe. Car is in NYC and also comes with the original wheels and tires. The wheels and tires pictured are from a 1980 and I added the red stripe to make them appear correct. The original tires have no wear on them. Hope to hear from some of you - Thanks Jack

I'm curious how you got 2600 miles on it if it has never been registered? That is a lot of trips around the block or on and off the trailer at shows.

Nice car for someone. Good luck.

Default Dealer plates

Easy - I've worked for 2 new car dealers from 1972 - 2002 - 20+ of those years with a company car - company car had dealer plates - I had permission to use the dealer plates. Hope that clears that up.

Hello,
Are you the original owner? What is the name and address of the Chevrolet dealer on the window sticker? Do you have the decals?
Thank you,
Drew Papsun

The car was actually bought in my cousins name. I'll explain. The car came from Davey Chevrolet (no longer in business) near Lake Placid New York. He was employed there years ago and was in good standing with the dealer. As you remember there was a frenzie to get these cars back then. The car was originally ordered as a base L48 automatic car. The dealer agreed with a $5000.00 deposit (big money at the time) to try and change it to a L82 4 speed for him as well as sell it to HIM for list price also a big deal at the time. Which he did only no one thought to ask about the interior. That's how it ended up with cloth interior (maybe less than 20 L82 4 speeds with that combo). Yes I do have the decals in the box as well as the paper work, warranty book (blank extra warranty book also), sales booklet and some dealer only material. Thanks for asking.

Mine is one of the rare 78 Pace cars with cloth interior. My understanding Leather was standard and the cloth insert was a no cost option. My interior is long gone and wish I could find reproduction coth seats for it!
