I have a 1957 basket case/project. Sorry I can't send pictures; my computer crashed and the new one won't arrive until next week. This is my son's computer....must keep up with forum news. Keep me in mind.

I have a 56 Vette project but I am on the east coast. It is a 59K mile original car that was hit in the nose and parked 40 years ago. It has a MN 265 Dual Quad w/Powerglide and power top. Looking for a serious offer.

Default 56 Corvette

If you send me a private message I can give you my email and reply back with photos. Please only do so if you are seriously interested. I can tell you that the 56 needs total extensive restoration and I will not be giving the car away for nothing. I'm looking for someone to make me a realistic serious cash and carry offer.

Bigblock,
It may be obvious, but do you mean NM as in non-matching 265? Otherwise I would like to know what you mean with the MN. Thanks.

Default 56 Project vette

MN= Matching Number 265 with Pad #0402349F56FG 225HP Auto
Block Casting Number #3720991 Production Number is less than the first 1000 made. Generator 1102043 and original
Carbs have the original 2419S and 2362S Tags still attached
and sit on top of the original Aluminum Intake.
The 9 Fins look like they still have the original Phillips
Screws holding them in place from the factory.
It appears the Car was hit on a 45 degree angle behind the right front wheel in the area of the battery tray. Extensive work needed on the passenger floor and firewall in that area. Frame looks slightly tweaked in that area. A New nose was installed a long time ago but never finished. Don't have the Air Cleaners, Small Gauges, Wheels and Caps,
Steering Wheel and any of the Front Trim except grille. Seats, rugs and conv top are day one from the factory and need replacement. Frame rusty but appears solid and useable excet rear cross. Priced best offer over 20. Buying restored car or new pickup forces sale.

Bigblock,
That's a big Duh on my part. Still sleepy when I put that on there this morning. Sorry. I guess I had a senior moment........

BTW- can you tell me what VIN your '56 is? I am curious about the production number on the pad as compared to the VIN. Thanks.
